On the occasion of World Oceans Day, June 8, 2025, the fourth edition of the LIFE Conceptu Maris photo contest is launched, following those held in 2022, 2023, and 2024, which awarded many outstanding images.
Until midnight on September 28, 2025, anyone who manages to capture images of Mediterranean cetaceans and sea turtles can enter the photo contest “Deep Blue. Whales, Dolphins, and Turtles in the Open Sea.”
The initiative is open to anyone who, during a boat excursion or a day of whale watching, can portray with a single shot the biodiversity still found in the open sea.
For 2025, a special prize is also included, detailed in the official rules.
The contest is also open to those taking part in the citizen science activities of LIFE Conceptu Maris, which offer many photo opportunities to volunteers.
Among the prizes there are marine-themed books, t-shirts, project-related gadgets, and even a whale watching trip.
