Starting from December 2023, the shipping companies that collaborate with Conceptu Maris (Grimaldi Lines, Minoan Lines, Corsica & Sardinia Ferries, Tirrenia, Balearia, Grandi Navi Veloci) are completing the “biodiversity conservation and collision risk course”, set developed by the Cima Foundation. A growing number of crews are completing this journey, receiving a certificate confirming their participation. In fact, among the actions envisaged by the Conceptu Maris, there is also the training of the staff of shipping companies operating in the Mediterranean to promptly identify cetaceans and sea turtles at risk of collision from the command bridge.
