The first version of the LIFE Conceptu Maris project documentary LIFE20 NAT/IT/001371 has been published on Youtube. Produced by Triton Research, with the financial contribution of the European Union’s LIFE programme, the documentary illustrates the genesis and objectives of this innovative project for the protection and conservation of cetaceans and sea turtles, symbolic species of the Mediterranean.
The 10-minute video talks about the work of the researchers, the use of new technologies such as environmental DNA, the emotions of the sightings, the contribution of the shipping companies and the importance of the Citizen Science campaign, which allows specially trained volunteers to board and participate in monitoring from the ferries.
