European researchers take stock on monitoring of cetaceans.

The sessions of the 34th conference of the ECS, the European Cetacean Society, begin on Monday 17th April in Galicia, in the North West of Spain. The event, which will go on until 20 April, will attract many researchers specialized in marine mammals from all over Europe to the town of O’Grove.

For the occasion, thanks to the collaboration between the LIFE CONCEPTU MARIS and IMPEL EU MTT projects, Triton Research will organize a networking workshop on the monitoring of cetaceans by ferries/large ships, one of the cornerstones of CONCEPTU MARIS activities. The workshop, entitled “Crossing the trail of cetaceans”, will explore all the steps of the information chain, from the harmonization of data collection to the more effective analytical approaches to support the requirement of the legislative framework.

For all the people who want to follow the meeting online, there will be a live streaming on Monday 17 April from 3 to 6.30 PM. To get the Meet link, simply fill out the form at https://forms.gle/nEqdB3jfG96enpUd8.
